On October 20–21, 2026, the 17th International Conference & Expo on 3D/4D Body Scanning and Processing Technologies (3DBODY.TECH 2026) took place in Lugano, Svizzera. As one of the most prestigious global events in human digitization, the conference brought together industry pioneers—including Google, adidas, leading academic institutions, and research laboratories—to explore the next frontier of digital human modeling, AI, and biometric intelligence.
Invited as a featured keynote speaker, Zhiwei Chu, Co-Founder and CTO of Visbody, presented the company’s latest breakthroughs in combining multi-modal 3Tecnologia di scansione del corpo D with artificial intelligence for advanced health and motion evaluation.
A Global Gathering of Digital Health Innovation
Since its inception in 2010, 3DBODY.TECH has served as the premiere global stage for researchers, technology providers, and industry leaders. IL 2026 edition featured 14 technical sessions, 6 live demonstration tracks, e oltre 80 scientific presentations covering 3D/4D body scanning, AI-assisted biomechanics, digital apparel, and personalized health applications.
As AI continues to converge with spatial 3D imaging, digital human technology is rapidly evolving from simple static measurement into multi-dimensional, intelligent body assessment.
Redefining Body Analysis: From Static Scans to AI Intelligence
During his keynote, Zhiwei Chu highlighted how Visbody bridges physical biometrics and digital intelligence. Drawing on years of proprietary R&D, he illustrated how integrating high-precision spatial data with AI unlocks deeper insights into metabolic health and structural alignment.
“Human digitization is no longer just about generating a 3D avatar—it is about turning complex spatial and physiological data into actionable health insights. By combining 3D geometry with AI, we can help clinicians, formatori, and health professionals identify subtle skeletal misalignments and muscle imbalances before they turn into chronic pain or injuries.”— Zhiwei Chu, Co-fondatore & CTO at Visbody
Following the presentation, conference chairman Dott. Nicola D’Apuzzo and international researchers gathered at the Visbody exchange session to discuss the practical applications of 3D digital twins across modern Fitness & Sports centers.
